This panel is designed for men who may be prescribed 19-nor anabolic steroids. Monitoring progesterone, prolactin, and (sensitive) estradiol is crucial when using these compounds because these hormones can be significantly altered, leading to side effects such as mood changes, sexual dysfunction, and gynecomastia. Elevated progesterone and prolactin levels, in particular, are associated with reduced libido and mood disorders, while changes in estradiol levels can impact both mood and bone health. This panel does not need to be taken in a fasted state.
