This panel is curated to identify keep components of insulin resistance and metabolic disorders, outside of basic HbA1c and fasted insulin readings:

• C-Peptide – Measures how much insulin your pancreas is producing, helping to evaluate insulin secretion and resistance.

• Complete Metabolic Panel (CMP) – Assesses liver and kidney function, electrolytes, and blood sugar levels, giving a broad view of overall metabolic health, which can be impacted by insulin resistance.

• Insulin – Directly measures insulin levels in the blood, with elevated fasting insulin indicating possible insulin resistance.

• HbA1c (A1C) – Reflects average blood sugar levels over the past 2-3 months, indicating long-term glucose control and potential insulin resistance.

• GGT (Gamma-Glutamyl Transferase) – A liver enzyme that, when elevated, may signal metabolic dysfunction and insulin resistance, particularly in relation to fatty liver disease.

• GlycoMark – Provides insight into short-term glucose fluctuations and post-meal blood sugar spikes, offering a more detailed look at glucose control beyond A1c.

• NMR LipoProfile with Lipids and Insulin Resistance Markers – Measures lipoprotein particle sizes and numbers, with specific markers that assess cardiovascular risks and insulin resistance.

• CRP (C-Reactive Protein) (High Sensitivity) – Indicates inflammation in the body, which is often elevated in people with insulin resistance and metabolic syndrome.

• Uric Acid – High levels of uric acid are associated with insulin resistance and metabolic syndrome, linking to conditions like gout and hypertension.

This test is calorie-fasted for 8-12 hours, please still hydrate with water.
