The Comprehensive Metabolic Panel (CMP) is a vital blood test that provides a broad overview of your body’s metabolic health, kidney function, liver function, electrolyte balance, and blood sugar regulation. It is often used in routine health screenings or to monitor chronic conditions and the effects of medications. This panel may help identify conditions such as diabetes, liver disease, kidney dysfunction, and electrolyte imbalances before symptoms arise, making it a powerful tool for preventative care and ongoing health management.

This lab is intended to be 8-12 hour calorie-fasted,  but please ensure adequate hydration.

The CMP includes:

• Blood Urea Nitrogen (BUN)

• Creatinine

• BUN/Creatinine Ratio

• Albumin

• Globulin

• Albumin/Globulin (A/G) Ratio

• Total Bilirubin

• Alkaline Phosphatase (ALP)

• Alanine Aminotransferase (ALT)

• Aspartate Aminotransferase (AST)

A provider will approve your labs, and your Lab Requisition Form will be emailed to you within 24 business hours. Labcorp will also have this on file. Please bring a valid photo ID to your nearest Labcorp location. Results will be securely emailed as soon as they are available.
