The C-peptide blood test measures the level of C-peptide, a byproduct of insulin production, to evaluate how much insulin your body is making. It is commonly used to differentiate between type 1 and type 2 diabetes, assess insulin resistance, and monitor pancreatic function in people with diabetes or other conditions affecting insulin production.

This lab is intended to be 8-12 hour calorie-fasted (especially if paired with other glucose related markers),  but please ensure adequate hydration.

A provider will approve your labs, and your Lab Requisition Form will be emailed to you within 24 business hours. Labcorp will also have this on file. Please bring a valid photo ID to your nearest Labcorp location. Results will be securely emailed as soon as they are available.
