This test measures the level of zinc in your blood to assess nutritional status, immune health, and metabolic function. Zinc is an essential trace mineral involved in wound healing, hormone balance, digestion, and brain function. Deficiency can result from poor diet, malabsorption, chronic stress, or high copper levels.

This lab is intended to be 8-12 hour calorie-fasted,  but please ensure adequate hydration.

• • Please do not use any supplements containing zinc (24 hours) prior to this test.

A provider will approve your labs, and your Lab Requisition Form will be emailed to you within 24 business hours. Labcorp will also have this on file. Please bring a valid photo ID to your nearest Labcorp location. Results will be securely emailed as soon as they are available.
